Summer Sizzle

Summer Sizzle 2025 is set for Sunday, June 15th

This Utica Roadrunner classic race will again be hosted at Proctor Park and by our friends at the Masonic Care Community! The Utica First Summer Sizzle enters its 37th year. Celebrate Father's Day on June 15th with the Summer Sizzle Five Mile Road Race! We will also offer a Virtual option for runners who would prefer to do the 5-mile distance on their own.

The Summer Sizzle has a long-standing tradition of being a family event. To celebrate Father's Day, we will have multiple divisions for families to compete in for special awards and prizes.

Volunteers

Volunteers are needed on race day in the areas of set-up, packet pickup, registration, traffic control, water stops, post-race refreshments, finish line, and clean up. To volunteer email race director Travis Olivera.

Awards

Awards will be given to the first three female and male finishers in the following divisions (no duplicate awards):

  • Overall
  • 18 and Under
  • 19-29
  • 30-39
  • 40-49
  • 50-59
  • 60-69
  • 70+

Family award divisions include:

Father/Son, Father/Daughter, Mother/Son, Mother/Daughter, and a Division for all Couples.
